Travel the World of Yoga: Yoga Month Kick-Off

Join us as we kick off the National Yoga Month with a special class featuring our Yoga Month theme, Traveling the World of Yoga. Participants will receive a fun “passport” to track their yogic travels throughout September. As you explore and participate in our special events and general classes, you'll journey through the eight limbs of yoga as defined by the Yoga Sutras, one of yoga’s cherished texts. Through your “travels,” we’ll be encouraging you to extend and deepen your practice beyond just the physical aspects of yoga. Keep an eye out for these teachings, enrich your understanding of yoga’s deeper aspects, and note them in your passport along the way. At the end of the month, participants will be entered into a special Yoga Month raffle, with an additional entry for each passport “stamp!”
 
After the introduction, you'll be guided through an all-levels yoga class, suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced practitioners. This event marks the start of The Yoga Sanctuary’s Travel the World of Yoga for Yoga Month Adventure, where you can embark on a journey of self-discovery and mindfulness.
 
Yoga Month is part of our annual fundraiser for the Peace River Wildlife Center (PRWC). Starting with this event and continuing through September, all special events will be “choose your own cost,” with a portion of the proceeds supporting the wonderful work of PRWC.
