Name: Embracing Ahimsa: A Benefit for the Peace River Wildlife Center
Date: September 15, 2024
Time: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM EDT
Event Description:
Ahimsa, the first of the ethical practices in yoga, emphasizes cultivating nonviolence in thought, word, and deed. By embracing this practice, we can positively influence ourselves and the world around us.

Join us for a special Yoga Month event to explore the concept of ahimsa through discussion, chant, meditation, and asana (posture) practice. Each practice will focus on self-compassion in the face of challenges and promote empathy and connection. Participants will be encouraged to embody ahimsa off the mat, making mindful choices that reflect a commitment to compassion and nonviolence. Proceeds from this class will support the Peace River Wildlife Center, an organization that embodies ahimsa by protecting and preserving local wildlife. The event will also include a guest appearance from one of our furry or feathered friends from PRWC!
