A New View: Inversions and Yoga at the Wall

There are so many props that we can use to level up our yoga practice – have you ever thought about the wall as being a way to deepen your practice or learn a new posture? Have you been in a class where you use the wall, but wonder if there are other postures to explore using the wall like more challenging balance postures or inversions?

Join TYS Teacher Karen Ascher in this special workshop to explore ways of using the wall to change your view of your practice! Using the wall as a way to deepen your understanding of various poses and inversions, Karen will lead you through a practice that utilizes the wall in familiar and unfamiliar ways. You'll spend time on alignment and core awareness, use the wall as a friendly support when exploring inversions, and offer modifications that can change your view of what you already know.
Get ready to explore the wall as a way to access a deeper part of your yoga practice. Must be comfortable or able to participate in a mixed level class at The Yoga Sanctuary and have an established yoga practice that includes standing postures. This workshop includes the exploration of inverting the body, so come with an open mind and prepare to see your practice from a different view!
