Name: Taking a Yin Perspective to Yoga and Life
Date: March 28, 2020
Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
Yin yoga is all about playing with our edges. If is a yielding and allowance for a natural unfolding. Yin yoga is not meant to be comfortable; it will take you outside of your comfort zone. Much of the benefit of the practice will come from staying in the discomfort zone, despite the mind’s plea to leave. This is half the practice—in the mind. Yin allows the time for the body to open, the mind to be observed, and a connection to the spirit. Join us for this workshop and extended practice where you will learn about the three main Yin principles: coming into the posture to an appropriate depth, resolving to remain still, and holding for time. This workshop will utilize the aromatherapy of incense, healing powers of crystal singing bowls, and other techniques to bring balance to the body, mind, and spirit.  For more information please visit www.theyogasanctuary.biz or call 941.505.YOGA (9642).
