Friday: Holistic Wellness: An Introduction to Ayurveda 6-8 pm
In Sanskrit, the language of yoga, Ayurveda means science of life. This ancient medical system from India, often called the ?sister science? of yoga, focuses on working with each person?s unique make-up to support balanced health and wellness.
This first workshop in a two-part series, led by Dr. Carrie Demers, offers an in-depth introduction to the fundamental principles of Ayurveda, including the five elements, doshas, prakriti (natural constitution), and vikriti (current state of imbalance). Through guided self-assessment, you?ll uncover your unique constitution and explore how to apply Ayurveda?s time-tested wisdom to bring balance and harmony into your daily life.
Join us and discover ways to live in sync with your body?s natural tendencies, promoting a life of health, vitality, and ease.
