Inner transformation happens when we investigate and develop an understanding of our habitual actions and reactions. This understanding helps us eliminate unproductive patterns of behavior and develop faith in ourselves and in a supportive universe. Kriya-yoga refers to the last three personal practices (niyama-s) of the eight limbs of yoga. It consists of: Tapas, practice leading to positive change; Svadhyaya, observation and study of oneself; and Ishvara-pranidhana, faith or trust in something greater than ourselves. In this 3-week workshop series, we will explore each of these concepts through lecture, discussion, meditation and exercises that encourage self-exploration. The workshop is open to all.
