This is a six-week yoga philosophy and meditation series, consisting of six one-hour classes held outdoors in the TYS Meditation Garden beside the studio. Using Sharon Salzberg’s The Kindness Handbook as our guide, we’ll deepen and broaden our understanding of the Lovingkindness (metta) meditation practice and how it is inextricably linked with the practices of compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. Class time will consist of lecture/discussion and meditation practice. Previous experience with meditation or the Metta practice are not required!
